what do the adoption fees pay for?

As a not-for-profit animal rescue, we are sometimes asked about how we determine our adoption fees and sometimes, people may thing they are too high. When you adopt from ROAR, your dog will go home with you with the following expenses paid for:

* spayed or neutered
* heartworm tested
* flea/tick preventative applied
* heartworm preventive applied
* de-wormed (as needed)
* microchip with free registration
* up-to-date age appropriate vaccinations
* 30-days complimentary health insurance

Your adoption fees helps to pay for the costs of the animals in our care for the above services. Any additional funds allow ROAR to recieve adoptable dogs into our rescue who need medical care prior to adoption. Some examples include heartworm treatment, , wound repair, mange treatment, and pre-natal care.
